Program of mobility:
MONDAY:
After lunch, one of IRARUs partners, led by Dr. Carola Koblitz and her daughter, spoke about “inherent language”, its importance and her research at the University of Vienna.
This topic is particularly relevant as we discuss a project in a European context in which we look for new teaching methods to engage students in climate change.
TUESDAY:
During the workshop, we worked with our (inner) voices. We were encouraged to be aware of nature and the exercises were inspired by the sound of birds.
From individual performances to collective pieces, we were able to create a short piece of music.
In the evening we visited "Haus der Musik" where we had the chance to learn more about Austrian musical heritage.
WEDNESDAY:
How can the arts be a tool for fighting against climate change?
The workshop of today was held by @jodecarlosvelayarse who guided us in our own painting experience.
We made some collective drawings and created our own artwork. This was based on the sounds of the collective recordings we did in the music composition workshop.
In the afternoon we visited @mumok_vienna which was super interesting!.
We discover that sometimes less is more and that with a few resources we can also do great things (be aware of the resources).
Everything learnt will help us to engage students in the topic of climate change.
